What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess and Cashier position at Wokcano Restaurant?
As a host at Wokcano - Burbank, you are the first and last face that our guests see that chose to dine with us. It is important to put a professional and happy face up front as a host to make sure our guests start and end their dining experience the best possible way.
Job duties include (but not necessarily limited to)...
-Greeting & seating guests - the host is the first person to greet our guests, so a positive, friendly, welcoming demeanor is imperative!
Multi-tasking and the ability to work very well under pressure! Restaurants are busy environments and the host must be able to greet guest, handle seating rotation, notify parties promptly, while answering phones, taking phone orders, and managing reservations and keeping tables full! All with a big smile on their face : )
- Answering phones with a positive, up-beat, hospitable attitude
- Taking, confirming & managing reservations
- Taking phone orders - menu knowledge is essential
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with guests, co-workers, management, etc.
-Maintaining a clean, organized environment & abiding by LA Health Dept. codes (CA food handlers card is REQUIRED)
