What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher: Special Education - STRIDES Program position at Woburn Street School?
* Work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a substantially separate classroom
* Implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and write, update, and monitor
IEPs
* Collect and analyze student data, maintain schedules, and facilitate annual IEP review meetings
* Collaborate with district BCBA, school psychologist, classroom teachers, administration, and related service providers
* Supervise and direct educational assistants within the classroom
* Provide training to educational assistants on behavior management and data collection techniques
* Act as a liaison between families and the school to support student success
* Conduct discrete trials and educational evaluations (e.g., WIAT, ABELS, Core Skills assessments
* Implement and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs
* Use the ACE program for data collection and goal-setting (preferred)
* Apply ABA methodology in the classroom environment
* Maintain or obtain Active Safety Care Training & Certification (training provided if needed)
* Participate in a six- week summer program contingent upon student IEPs
* Perform other related duties as assigned
* This position requires a six (6) week summer program component
