Student Services Office Clerk

DEFINITION:
The Student Services Office Clerk (2 positions available) is an employee member of the school staff designated by the Superintendent of Schools. Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services, the Student Services Office Clerk will support the Student Services Office by participating in the organization and management of records and materials housed in the special education office. Please note that heavy lifting will be a primary function of this position.
The positions consist of 4-hour shifts (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.), four days per week (Monday through Thursday) during July and August.
PREREQUISITE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum: Some high school education or above
- Minimum: Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (25lbs and above), Stand on feet during entirety of shift, Engage in repetitive activities and Work in small spaces potentially without air conditioning
- Minimum: Strong Interpersonal Skills and Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Minimum: Hardworking and Efficient; Attention to Detail; Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Minimum: Able to accept direction and follow through independently
SALARY: Minimum Wage
WORKING TIME:
The Student Services Office Clerk positions will commence on July 7, 2025 and will run through August 7, 2025, with the potential for additional time as warranted. The Office Clerk will report to the Student Services Office at the Joyce Middle School, Woburn for a 4 hour shift (9am-1pm) weekdays during July and August.
DUTIES:
The Student Services Office Clerk shall:
- Responsible for supporting the organization and movement of materials (heavy files and filing cabinets) located at the Student Services Office
- Responsible for taking direction from staff and following through tasks independently
- Interacting with building staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent
