We are seeking a skilled and energetic Body Shop Frame Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing precise automotive structural repairs, frame straightening, and welding repairs to restore vehicles to their original specifications. Your expertise in fabrication, auto body repair, and welding will ensure our customers receive top-quality service. Duties
- Diagnose and assess vehicle frame damage using specialized measuring tools and equipment
- Perform frame straightening and alignment using hydraulic presses, frame racks, and other mechanical tools
- Conduct welding repairs including MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques on sheet metal and structural components
- Utilize automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames to factory standards
- Repair or replace damaged sheet metal parts through cutting, shaping, and fitting using hand tools and power tools
- Perform automotive cosmetic repairs such as sanding, auto painting, and refinishing to ensure a flawless finish
- Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, and other components with precision
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or repair shop setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair techniques including auto restoration and sheet metal work
- Familiarity with automotive parts installation, auto painting, sanding tools, airless paint spraying, and detailing processes
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for heavy lifting and assembly tasks
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive repair processes
- Dealership experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; a strong background in auto body repair is essential
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients
