Position Purpose

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Food Runner at WOB Bar & Kitchen (WOB).  To provide speed of service to our customer.  Assist in the flow of the shift to create an organized and relaxed environment.  Be an important part of the team in delivering a great overall World of Beer experience for our customers!

World of Beer Bar & Kitchen Food Runner Standards

• Provide the goal for our customers of: Lifting customer’s spirits one glass at a time!
• Being positive, finding fun in the moment, doing good work and lifting the mood of others.
• Provide our WOB style of service: casual, friendly, fun and perfectly paced to the customer's pace.

General Responsibilities

• Delivers food orders to our customers.
• Assists the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our customer's dining experience.
• Sets up the front line with the equipment, plateware, and smallwares needed to effectively serve all food products.
• Keeps station restocked throughout the shift.
• Cleans large and small trays and tray stands to be ready for service.
• Final check of plate presentation
• Garnishes finished entrees according to house specifications and procedures.
• Assists the server as needed to optimize the customer’s dining experience.
• Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift.
• Assists KM and other kitchen personnel in accomplishing closing duties and kitchen cleanliness.
• Completes all side work in the front and/or back of the house as assigned and scheduled by the members of the management team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry trays or plates of food.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Outgoing and friendly personality and demeanor.
• Flexible schedule, that may include weekends and holidays.

Work Requirements

• Ability to stand on your feet and navigate the WOB for the entirety of the shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, and lift 10 lbs.
• Flexible schedule that can accommodate the needs of the WOB location.
• Food Safety Certification within 30 days of hire (must comply with all local and state laws)

Pay: Hourly Wage (plus tip share - dependent on location)
