Job Description
As a Director within the WNS Procurement Transformation & Advisory group, you are a thought-partner to clients, helping them to shape ideas and solve complex problems. You will do this by building trust and confidence with senior level clients. You will lead and support projects for clients that deliver best in class results leveraging capabilities from across the Firm. You will be working with consultants from across our global offices and you will have the opportunity to interact with leading international clients across industries.
On client projects, you will be the point-of-contact for senior client stakeholders and ensure both high quality delivery and further business development. Typical daily activities include structuring client problems, story-boarding project approaches to complex operational questions and coordinating multiple workstreams. You should be familiar with procurement maturity assessments, Target Operating Model design, category strategy and strategic sourcing projects, end-to-end procurement processes and procurement technology.
Outside of engagements, Directors are considered mentors within the firm, acting as people-managers and career coaches for across the team. A significant part of your role will be coaching and developing our junior team to upskill their capabilities in procurement consulting and subject matter expertise.
Engaging across the firm with the WNS Procurement community is key to growing our brand and our Firm. You will use your industry network and procurement knowledge to develop thought leading insights and build new tools to help clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage client engagements from procurement strategy development to execution.
Use analytical, hypothesis-driven thinking to form and shape solutions to complex procurement problems.
Lead on project proposals and develop new business opportunities across the procurement value chain
Manage the development and functioning of the project team, providing guidance and coaching to members.
Coach and development junior team members, to develop their career with a focus on knowledge of procurement best practices.
Participate, as needed, with recruitment and act as a people manager to teams of between 5-10 people.
Engage with the broader WNS Procurement organization to develop firm presence, including thought leadership.
Qualifications
The ability to think strategically about business and industry trends in procurement and use analytical, problem-solving techniques to break down complex issues
A track record of customer focused engagements from a consulting background delivering quality work for clients, demonstrating an understanding of the client's professional standards and maintaining respectful client relationships.
A track record in business development, commercial or sales.
Bachelor's degree
