What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner FNP position at WNC Internal Medicine?
In need of a FNP-C for a high-volume Independent Private Internal Medicine Practice. Ideally someone is needed who can hit the ground running, seeing a full schedule(18 patients/day) as soon as possible. A one- to-two-year minimum of primary care experience is preferred, but not required, along with preferring someone with the training and capability to perform procedures typically performed in-office such as, but not limited to I&D, Joint/Trigger Point injections, etc. Candidate must have a working experience as a practicing Registered Nurse for at least two years. Must be a team player. Drama is not tolerated. Current NC licensing is required. We offer an hourly or salary commission-based salary with benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision, and retirement contributions) for full-time providers.
We're looking for someone who would be a good fit for our team and can meet the expected production requirements. Candidates would be required to work a minimum of three to four days per week, including an after-hours on-call rotation. We prefer someone that desires a long-term position at our practice. The schedule could be flexible if the desired number of patients are seen daily, and the schedule adequately matches the support staff. This can all be discussed. Local (WNC) Candidates preferred.
Our practice, WNC Internal Medicine, is in Jackson County North Carolina located between the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks. Asheville, NC is very close at an approximate 55-minute drive. Jackson County North Carolina is a wonderful place for people who love the outdoors and enjoy nature. Nearby there are plenty of rivers, lakes, hiking opportunities, and other outdoor adventures.
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Pay: Can Range $31,200 - $150,000.00 per year depending on NP’s productivity. (Hourly/Salary commission)

Additional Duties:
· Utilize EHR(Athena) to document patient encounters timely and meticulously
· Provide telehealth consultations to extend access to care remotely while maintaining high standards of patient engagement.
· Follow our ACO standards/guidelines and requirements for ongoing patient engagement and quality of care
License/Certification:
· Certified Nurse Practitioner/FNP-C (Required)
· Licensed to practice in NC
· Have NPI
· Have a valid DEA Certificate
· Location: In person in Sylva, NC 28779 Ability to Relocate: If outside of our region, relocation and current NC licensing is required before starting work.
Salary : $31,000 - $210,000
