Job Summary:
Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for mechanical & electrical projects utilizing provided estimating software and processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Attend pre-bid meeting with current and potential customers.
· Review contract plans and specifications to determine scope of work.
· Submit RFI’s for clarification during the bid process.
· Solicit and evaluate vendor pricing for compliance with plans and specifications.
· Perform a material and labor estimate identifying potential risks and opportunities.
· Coordinate and prepare the estimate to align with the short and long-term goals of the company.
· Consider Lean Construction Principles when preparing the estimate.
· Establish a set of goals and strategies for specific project to improve production efficiency and maximize project profitability.
· Minimize liability and LD’s by including reductions/exclusions in the estimate.
· Evaluate value engineering opportunities.
· Prepare change order pricing.
· Prepare cost codes for project tracking.
· Collaborate and lead a turnover meeting with Operations team.
· Analyze actual project costs after project conclusion for continual improvement.

Education and Experience:
Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or a technical degree with 3-4 years of field experience in mechanical construction.

Physical Requirements
· Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
· Bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, walking on uneven surfaces, and exposure to elements while in the field.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
· Standard work hours: 7:00-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,000.00 - $84,500.00 per year
