Job Summary

Duties

• Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure smooth transactions.
• Lead, train, and develop a retail sales team by providing clear guidance on customer service standards, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
• Oversee inventory management processes such as purchasing, stock replenishment, stock rotation, and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales opportunities across the store.
• Conduct recruiting activities including interviewing candidates, employee orientation sessions, and onboarding new team members to build a strong workforce.
• Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and manage budgets to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Foster excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues effectively, and maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Supervise shift schedules, monitor sales performance metrics, and manage store marketing initiatives to boost foot traffic and sales growth.
• Enforce store policies related to cash handling, pricing accuracy, theft prevention, and safety regulations to uphold operational integrity.
• Support team training & development programs focused on retail math skills, management techniques, leadership growth, and operational best practices.

Requirements

• Proven management experience in retail environments with a focus on store supervision or assistant manager roles.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
• Excellent communication skills; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse campus populations.
• Demonstrated experience in inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and POS systems operation.
• Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping such as bookkeeping and payroll processing.
• Familiarity with retail industry sales techniques such as negotiation, upselling, customer engagement, and marketing strategies.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining high standards of cashiering procedures.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control, inventory audits, shift management, and administrative tasks.
• Experience in recruiting new employees through interviewing processes and conducting employee orientation sessions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage operational challenges efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
