Reily Foods Co. is seeking an experienced Multi-Plant Process/Industrial Engineer to oversee and develop production process designs that maximize efficiency and reduce waste, identify and implement process improvements and technological upgrades, and design control systems to minimize cost and production issues while maintain the highest quality and safety standards. In addition, the Engineer will manage small and large capital project initiatives to support the Plant and/or Distribution Center, including product or package commercialization projects. In driving breakthrough performance, the Engineer will consistently deliver expert technical support, project management, and leadership in beverage manufacturing systems and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, optimize work distribution, and streamline operations.
- Provides process engineering support for capital projects during all phases of execution including project scoping, creation of budget, coordination of vendors, alternative selection, detailed design, construction, and start-up for small and major capital projects including renovations, expansions and improvements.
- Leads the exploration, evaluation, and development of new manufacturing technology pipeline (processes, equipment, and materials) and establishes new processing benchmarks that drives continuous improvement in developing the processing line of the future.
- Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, optimize work distribution, and streamline operations.
- Collaborate closely with management to ensure compliance with industry standards and help drive strategic decisions based on their technical findings.
- Works with corporate cross-functional leadership teams to evaluate new product launches and identify plant capabilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of related process engineering experience. Experience working with food/beverage manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Ability to plan and organize projects from inception to start up. Able to handle multiple activities simultaneously. Must be flexible to respond to Plant support needs as priorities change with specific business needs. Able to balance day to day support issues with longer term offline projects/studies.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, strong ability to work with core groups and cross functional teams, able to communicate technical ideas to a wide range of stakeholders within the facility.
- 40-60% Travel required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least one other functional area outside of current discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes such as TPM and Lean Manufacturing
- Proven PM (Progressive Maintenance) expertise, including Planned Maintenance Root cause analysis and Condition Based Maintenance
- Strong financial & business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency in RedZone or similar OEE software
- Proficiency in the development and use of a CMMS system such as MP2
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in MS Office programs, especially Excel
