Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling and Routing: Plan and adjust drivers’ routes to optimize efficiency, accommodate changes, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and logistics personnel, relaying shipment details, handling special requests, and managing emergency or non-emergency calls.
- Documentation and Records: Prepare dispatch documents, generate freight bills, and maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, delivery times, and route changes.
- Compliance and Safety: Monitor drivers’ logs to ensure adherence to transportation regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Address issues such as traffic delays, mechanical problems, or customer schedule changes, making quick decisions to keep operations running smoothly.
- Customer Service: Handle inquiries, complaints, and advise customers of any changes or updates on delivery times.
- Excellent work environment
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
