BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of plant operations with a primary focus on safety, operational excellence, asset care, and people leadership. This role provides visible leadership to ensure a strong safety culture, reliable manufacturing performance, and consistent execution of company standards while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives, reporting to the Regional Manager of Manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, floor presence, and accountability at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including SHE principles and PSM where applicable.
- Oversee all manufacturing operations, material storage, and quality of produced and packaged pipe.
- Drive operational performance to meet or exceed production, cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Plan, manage, and execute plant budgets and capital expenditures (CAPEX), including project justification and execution.
- Lead manufacturing growth, expansion, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and asset integrity.
- Coordinate production planning and scheduling in collaboration with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams.
- Manage procurement and inventory of raw materials with VP of Operations approval, including specifications, scheduling, and shipments.
- Develop, train, coach, and hold accountable production, quality, and maintenance leaders and teams.
- Build leadership capability and bench strength through coaching, performance management, and development planning.
- Analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership and drive corrective actions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager of Manufacturing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of management experience in HDPE or similar extrusion-based manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading operations in a PSM or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and influence operational outcomes.
- Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and operational performance metrics.
- Strong communication, decision-making, adaptability, and leadership skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders.
- Ability to stand and walk 8-10 hours per day.
- Ability to wear PPE, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toe footwear that meets ASTM F-2413-2005 standards.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Must be available on call as operational needs require.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role includes a balance of administrative and hands-on leadership responsibilities. Time will be spent in the office, on the production floor, and in yard areas, including work in all weather conditions as needed. The Plant Manager works closely with Sales, Production, Quality Assurance, Administration, and Shipping teams.

Travel to other cities or manufacturing facilities may be necessary for training or benchmarking purposes
