- Provides Professional level support in all areas of Human Resources.
Job Duties/Responsibilities - (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):
- All areas of employee relations including programs, communication, complaints, disciplinary action, and dispute resolution.
- Conducts recruitment effort for hiring of all exempt personnel and supports the HR Generalist with nonexempt personnel. Provides input and oversight to new team member orientations, exit interviewing and talent acquisition strategies. Maintains staffing statistics.
- Provides oversight into all benefits administration at the plant level.
- Ensure HRIS is accurately maintained, and data is kept confidential.
- Back-up to the EHS Manager for worker’s comp claims management, and reporting.
- Implements and updates personnel policies as needed. Prepares and maintains the team member handbook on all policies and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
- Consults and assists legal counsel as needed.
- Develops and administers compensation programs using salary data and surveys, merit planning, and performance evaluation systems.
- Conducts skills gap analysis and recommends training solutions. Identifies and applies for any State grant funds that are available.
- Negotiations and administration with various outside vendors, HR related and as assigned by the General Manager.
- Manages the workload and performance of the HR team.
- Track and update HR KPI’s.
- Coach and Develop the Managers and Supervisors related to Leadership, Communication, Policies & Procedures and Holding Others Accountable.
Job Requirements/Qualifications - (Requirements may be modified or amended for reasonable accommodation):
- Bachelors in Human Resource Management or Psychology or related field.
- SHRM CP or SCP or equivalent certification a plus.
- 5 years minimum HR experience in a manufacturing environment, 3 years in HR supervision preferred.
- Proven skills with Microsoft Office tools and HRIS systems.
- Strong Communication skills including written, 1:1 and group settings.
- Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001 (2015), supporting the HR portions of audits.
