Position Overview
As a Senior Maintenance Manager, you’ll serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, driving maintenance strategy, asset reliability, and operational performance across the Lancaster facility. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring equipment reliability, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement while building and developing a high-performing maintenance team.
Here’s What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and develop the maintenance team, providing direction, coaching, and support to build capability and engagement.
- Drive maintenance and reliability strategies that improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support production goals.
- Implement and sustain best-in-class maintenance programs, including TPM, RCM, and predictive and preventative maintenance.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, eliminate waste, and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and food safety standards while reinforcing a strong safety culture.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to align maintenance priorities with plant performance goals.
- Lead capital project planning and execution, including scope development, budgeting, and delivery.
- Manage departmental budgets, including operating and capital expenditures, with a focus on cost control and optimization.
- Develop and implement both short- and long-term maintenance and cost reduction strategies.
Required:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with operations supervision or management responsibility.
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence plant performance.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in maintenance systems, programs, and budgeting practices.
- Experience leading or participating in Lean manufacturing initiatives and improvement projects.
- Experience implementing maintenance and reliability programs such as TPM, RCM, and predictive/preventative maintenance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience working with packaging or production equipment.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Combination of office and manufacturing plant floor environment.
- Regular interaction with production equipment, maintenance systems, and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to plant conditions including noise, temperature variations, and required PPE while on the floor.
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong leadership, prioritization, and decision-making.
- Primarily Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to support operational needs, including occasional work outside of traditional hours
