As a Quality Food Safety (QFS) Coach you will evaluate the implementation of WK Kellogg Co policies at Co-manufacturing and Co-packing facilities; coach site personnel on WK Kellogg Co QFS requirements; ensure QFS compliance and continuous improvement; and confirm alignment with WK Kellogg Co. Risk-Based Manufacturing Standards (RBMS) through effective collaboration with supporting operations and commercialization.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coach the CoManufacturing and Copacking facilities on system verification for correct execution and compliance of programs to the RBMS. Ensure that the Quality Food Safety (QFS) program owners develop Critical Thinking and identify gaps for improvements .
  • Review the data analysis and trends of SC Scorecard, and Regulatory/3rd party Audits and validate CAPA to proactively identify opportunities for improvement for CoManufacturing and Copacking.
  • Verify facilities' Risk-Based Manufacturing Standards (RBMS) compliance and review key indicators that monitor effectiveness.
  • Identify business risks and QFS improvement opportunities through standard work.
  • Evaluate compliance to food design by monitoring facilties' quality process.
  • Continuously help improve facilities' quality and food safety capability and programs
  • Participate in commerizalation meetings to be the quality and food safety voice for projects.
  • Partner with site to measure and monitor the facilities for their status on Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) closures.
  • When at the facility, expectation is to attend their food reviews, and conduct a food safety walk for the entire facility.
  • This role should be a leader, coach and SME on QFS programs

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in HACCP and FSMA regulatory standards, with the ability to apply food safety principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • PCQI certification required, with proven experience leading preventive controls and process compliance.
  • Strong understanding of GFSI-benchmarked schemes such as SQF, BRC, or equivalent certification programs.
  • 5 years of leadership experience in a Quality Food Safety (QFS) role within manufacturing operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and partner effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to support training creation, audit documentation, performance reporting, and executive-level communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Health Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline required
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including weekends and overnights—up to approximately 75% of the time.

Preferred

  • Exceptional cross‑functional collaboration experience, partnering effectively with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory, Legal, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify systemic issues, assess risk, and prioritize actions that drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or regions simultaneously, balancing competing priorities with agility.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Master’s degree in one of the following (or a closely related field: Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Health Science, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering).

Salary Range: $114,400 – 143,000

Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
