Key Responsibilities
The Medical Supply Technicians – Sterile Processing Technicians will provide on-site services for reusable medical devices (RMD) in in-patient units, out-patient clinics, and community living centers for eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Maintaining accurate records of cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance activities.
- Thorough cleaning of instruments/equipment to remove biological material and contaminants.
- Must possess proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Responsible for operating equipment such as V-Pro, machine washers, and ultrasonics.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and facility protocols.
- Responsible for checking each instrument for staining, pitting, cracking, and rust.
- Instruments must be properly packaged to maintain sterility until needed, and technicians prepare and label packages accurately, ensuring all contents are documented.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Oral and written proficiency in English.
- Have no health or physical disability restrictions that will interfere with the assigned duties.
