We are currently recruiting for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide services at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Under the supervision of the nurse manager, the LPN works closely with others as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas and Primary Care settings throughout Charleston, VA, and surrounding Community-Based Outpatient Clinics.
• The LPN functions both dependently and independently with guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee.
• The LPN may be utilized as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas, ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and the outpatient laboratory.
• The LPN may work as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas, ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and the outpatient laboratory.
• The LPN must demonstrate the ability to serve as a responsible member of the nursing team and interact [in an appropriate manner] with patients, family members, professionals, and [other] supportive personnel [involved in the delivery of] patient care, incorporating acceptable, established customer service standards into practice.
  
  

Requirements

The Licensed Practical Nurse shall have the following:

• Be a graduate of a state-approved school of practical/vocational nursing
• At least twenty-four (24) months of current experience and must have worked within the last 6 months in a primary care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must pass a WJM and Veterans Administration Medical Center background check.
