What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Construction Manager position at WJA Design Collaborative?
WJA Design Collaborative believes our success depends on the strength of our team. We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager to work with the 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron (92 CES) at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane.
This is a task-order based position currently structured as a one-year term, with the possibility of extension in additional years based on annually determined funding.
About the Role
As an employee of WJA Design Collaborative, you will be fully integrated with and co-located alongside the Engineering Flight of the 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron at Fairchild AFB. In this role, you will:
- Provide construction administration support to the Engineering Flight
- Work under the direction of Fairchild's Construction Management Chief (CMC) and Project Manager (PM)
- Perform Senior Construction Management duties for the recently awarded construction project FA462025C0005, focused on repair and renovation of the Mission Support Complex, Buildings 2245, 2248, and 2249
Qualifications
- Preferred background in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or closely related role
- Ability to demonstrate prior responsibility and performance in comparable positions
Key Skill Areas
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong proficiency in the following:
- Estimating
- Review of programmed amounts and funding limitations
- Site observations and field reporting
- Coordinating requests for clarification
- Leading or participating in conferences/meetings
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Submittal review
- Progress reporting
- Managing contract changes
- Contract closeout
- Management of project documents
- Use of project management databases and platforms (TRIRIGA, SharePoint, FMSuite, ProLog)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 – $145,000 DOE
