Compensation
$21 - $24 hourly
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck in residential areas of Mount Vernon, TX to collect garbage
- Perform cart dumping duties by coordinating with another driver for efficient waste collection
- Adhere to Live Oak Environmental Company safety rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements
- Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections on assigned equipment and maintain accurate documentation
- Promptly report any safety concerns or service-related issues to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch
- Participate in all scheduled training programs and meetings as required by Live Oak Environmental, LLC
- Collaborate with Route Supervisor/Managers to enhance route efficiencies and implement best practices
- Notify the Route Supervisor/Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
- Communicate customer requests effectively to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch
- Identify and report containers in need of repair or replacement
- Complete and submit customer tickets promptly and accurately
- Follow assigned route instructions, complete end-of-day documentation, and the check-out process
- Perform all duties as directed by the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch to meet customer needs
- Experience in operating heavy-duty trucks in residential areas safely and efficiently
- Ability to adhere to safety rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements consistently
- Proven track record of conducting thorough pre-and post-trip inspections on equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively report safety concerns and service issues
- Ability to collaborate with supervisors to enhance route efficiencies and implement best practices
- Experience in completing and submitting accurate documentation and customer tickets
- Ability to follow assigned route instructions and complete end-of-day processes diligently
