In our humble beginnings, we offered only auto insurance from our Pocatello office. Subsequent generations of employees and agents, guided by the founders’ beliefs, built the company into what it is today the largest writer of farm and ranch insurance in Idaho and the largest insurance company wholly based in Idaho.
In 2024, Western Community Insurance—Farm Bureau Mutual started offering insurance products in the state of Washington.

Responsibilities
- Prospect new clients through networking, referrals, and community outreach
- Leverage social media and local media to highlight community initiatives and client stories
- Build relationships with local organizations (schools, farm organizations, chambers of commerce) to identify partnership opportunities
- Build and manage a diverse client base by providing personalized insurance solutions
- Guide clients in selecting appropriate coverage that best meets their needs
- Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Some knowledge of farming or agricultural background
- 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development; insurance experience is an advantage
- Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and drive
- Insurance and sales experience a plus
