Responsibilities
This role focuses on the installation of systems within commercial and industrial environments, with an emphasis on supermarket refrigeration projects.
- Install, assemble, and service commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including copper line sets
- Assist in building and installing equipment used in HVAC/R applications
- Identify potential maintenance issues, risks, and safety concerns
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Install flex duct and sheet metal duct systems in light commercial settings
- Install HVAC equipment in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications
- Apply knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
- Safely operate hand and power tools relevant to the trade
- Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly maintained and in safe working condition
- Communicate effectively with customers before, during, and after service work
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Adhere to all job site safety requirements and customer guidelines
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HVAC/R systems, tools, materials, and components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for projects
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or maneuver heavy materials (with assistance or equipment as needed)
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow established procedures
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
- Capable of working independently while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Valid Class E driver’s license preferred
- OSHA certification preferred; required within 60 days of employment
