Job Title: Recruiter
Wize Home Services, a premier General Contractor based in Hickory, NC, specializing in residential home improvement including roofing, siding, decking, gutters, insulation, siding, bathrooms, and full-scale renovations, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruiter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building a high-performing workforce, possess a strong understanding of the home services industry, and be adept at sourcing, attracting, and retaining top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruiting lifecycle from job requisition to offer acceptance, primarily focusing on field and office roles within the general contracting/home improvement sector (e.g., project managers, sales consultants, administrative staff).
- Sourcing & Candidate Pipelining: Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates, utilizing job boards, social media, industry networks, cold calling, and local events to build a continuous talent pipeline.
- Screening & Interviewing: Conduct thorough screening calls and interviews to evaluate candidate skills, experience, cultural fit, and alignment with Wize Home Services commitment to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their specific needs, define job requirements, and establish effective interview processes.
- Employer Branding: Promote Wize Home Services as an employer of choice in the Hickory and broader North Carolina area, enhancing our online and local presence.
- Administrative & Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring compliance with all hiring regulations.
- Onboarding Support: Coordinate with HR and management to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within the construction, general contracting, home improvement, or skilled trades industries.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Hickory, NC and Western North Carolina job market is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex offers.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various sourcing platforms (e.g., really, LinkedIn Recruiter, industry-specific boards).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
