The Warehouse Manager willoversee operations for a 165,000 sq. ft. high-volume warehouse facility handling 80 inbound and outbound trailers daily. Ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable warehouse operations supporting U.S. and Mexico manufacturing activities. Lead end-to-end warehouse management, including inbound/outbound logistics, space and resource planning, and inventory control. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process automation while fostering cross-functional collaboration and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient and timely inbound and outbound logistics.
- Optimize warehouse performance through improved storage layout, space utilization, material handling practices, and inventory control accuracy.
- Ensure smooth truck flow and loading/unloading processes to minimize delays and congestion.
- Develop and implement scalable, standardized processes to support growing operational demands.
- Lead and motivate warehouse teams to achieve safety, accuracy, and productivity targets.
Operational Efficiency
- Address capacity constraints and optimize truck scheduling to reduce block hours.
- Improve inbound material handling processes to prevent production delays caused by shortages.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous performance improvements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Establish and lead a continuous improvement team.
- Set clear goals and foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across departments to support operational objectives.
- Build and develop warehouse teams with a focus on accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Process Re-Engineering & Automation
- Analyze and streamline call-off processes from U.S. warehouses and domestic suppliers to factories.
- Optimize material flow from truck arrival through unloading, staging, and shelf placement.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement automation tools such as TCMS and dashboards to enhance logistics efficiency.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Compliance
- Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Production, and Customs teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Engage with key stakeholders to maintain alignment, transparency, and project progress.
- Conduct scheduled communication meetings and ensure timely completion of action items.
- Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse, factory, or logistics operations.
- Experience with automation and digital tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Excel macros, or Python is a strong advantage.
- Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.
