Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled laborer and sandblaster to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures which will be explained and taught.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Operate powder coating equipment and ensure proper application techniques are followed.
- Monitor the curing process and adjust settings as needed to achieve optimal results.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments during the coating process.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting or powder coating is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling and warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with fabrication processes are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and air paint spraying equipment.
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely in an industrial setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
