Your Role In Our Team

As a Machine Specialist for the Walmart US account at WITRON, you will play a key technical role in supporting the execution of high‑priority maintenance activities across automated systems, including complex troubleshooting, component overhauls, system refurbishments, and improvement initiatives. Working closely with project teams, regional leadership, and onsite operations, you will ensure repairs and technical interventions are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal operational disruption. You will also support technical planning, lead advanced diagnostic work, and contribute to reliable system performance through data analysis, root‑cause investigations, and strong documentation practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a highly skilled electromechanical technician with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and experience working with complex automated systems. You excel in structured troubleshooting, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Safety, reliability, and continuous improvement guide your work, and you take pride in delivering high‑quality technical results, supporting team members, and maintaining organized work practices. Proactive and detail‑oriented, you contribute to a strong maintenance culture and help drive best practices across special assignments and project activities.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification
  • Post-secondary training from a technical school or vocational program (e.g., Electrician, Millwright)
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent PC skills and ability to work with digital systems
  • Strong sense of safety, responsibility, and professionalism
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and shift schedules
  • Committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace

Skills/Experience Required

  • 1–2 years minimum experience as an Electromechanical Technician
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing automated systems (e.g., conveyors, cranes, hoists)
  • Skilled in mechanical repairs and use of hand/power tools (a must)
  • Familiarity with AC systems up to 600/400/480 volts and DC systems up to 24 volts
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring tools
  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical drive technology (e.g., motors and gears)
  • Familiarity with control technology (e.g., controls, inverters)
  • Basic understanding of PLC logic
  • Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to -15°F (13°C to -26°C), (PPE provided)
  • Experience working different shifts in response to operational requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of high‑priority, technically complex maintenance tasks, including advanced troubleshooting and component replacements
  • Perform planned and reactive mechanical and electrical repairs in accordance with company procedures
  • Lead complex diagnostics using PLC interfaces, HMI tools, and diagnostic software
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis on critical failures and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze system data to identify trends, prevent failures, and support improvement efforts
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all work in the CMMS and reporting tools
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior technicians and contribute to a strong team culture
  • Ensure safe work practices and uphold all WITRON and onsite safety requirements
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
  • Monitor system performance and communicate technical issues or risks to leadership
  • Ensure proper use of tools, spare parts, and equipment
  • Apply and uphold 5S principles across all working areas
  • Maintain accountability for work quality, efficiency, and minimizing equipment downtime
  • Assist project teams and onsite operations as needed to support system reliability
  • Travel up to 100% as required to support projects and onsite teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned
