Join our team as a Project Engineer within our Stormwater practice area. This is a hybrid role based out of our Asheville, North Carolina office.
In this role, you will lead, and support projects focused on stormwater management, watershed planning, drainage design, flood mitigation, and environmental compliance. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance water quality, improve infrastructure resilience, and support sustainable development.
Key responsibilities include designing stormwater systems, conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, preparing technical reports, and ensuring projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in stormwater management, water resources engineering, or related fields, along with proficiency in modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar tools.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or field of expertise or equivalent experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 5 years of experience in appropriate field of expertise
- Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Execute multiple tasks under pressure and prioritize responsibilities
- Exhibit leadership in planning and/or design concepts and methods and challenge convention
- Ability to successfully manage all internal aspects of projects/project tasks
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to mentor and lead technical staff
- Energetic, flexible, confident, and forward thinking
- AutoCAD/Civil3D, RAS, SWMM, or similar tools experience
