Job Summary:
Perform cardiac echo sonography diagnostic procedures, e.g. echo cardiograms, stress tests for patients as ordered. May perform other administrative and clinical duties as needed for the needs of the department and/or organization
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have extensive training in echo sonography, graduate of an approved echo sonography program preferred.
- Must complete RDCS registration within 6 months of hire.
- Previous experience desirable.
- Must be CPR certified and ACLS is highly recommended.
- Willing to work additional hours when requested by the Director; available for callback on scheduled weekends/weekdays.
- Must be competent in all functions related to echo sonography.
- Willing to assist the Director of Imaging with various tasks.
- Works with the cardiologist and other interpreting physicians to ensure proper scanning protocol is followed.
