In this role, you’ll work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department and help ensure our guest rooms and public areas consistently meet Hampton Inn and Witham Family Hotels standards. You’ll support the housekeeping team through training, coaching, inspections, scheduling, and day-to-day operations while helping create a positive and productive work environment.

Position Details:
Status: Full-Time, Year-Round
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week; shifts vary and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with the daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Help lead, train, coach, and support housekeeping team members
- Assist with creating schedules and adjusting staffing based on hotel occupancy and business needs
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet hotel standards
- Follow up on room deficiencies and work with the housekeeping team to address issues promptly
- Help coordinate daily assignments and ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for arriving guests
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment and communicate inventory needs to the Housekeeping Manager
- Assist with maintaining proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate with the Front Desk and other departments regarding room status, maintenance needs, and guest requests
- Assist with training new team members and reinforcing hotel and departmental standards
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
- Step in and assist with housekeeping duties as needed to support the team
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks, reports, and other departmental needs
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting priorities as needed
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel and housekeeping systems
- Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
