Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise architectural drawings and 3D models using advanced CAD software, primarily ArchiCad. Your expertise will help translate conceptual designs into accurate construction documents, ensuring seamless communication between architects, engineers, and construction teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while honing your drafting skills in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architectural drawings and 3D models using ArchiCad, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to interpret design concepts and translate them into comprehensive schematics and construction documents.
- Utilize CAD software to support various project phases.
- Prepare detailed drafting plans for construction, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and site layouts.
- Assist in creating 2D animations and visualizations to effectively communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and models for easy access and version control.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software such as ArchiCad, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, and familiarity with 2D animation tools is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and construction processes.
- Ability to create detailed schematics and technical drawings with precision.
- Knowledge of drafting standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
