What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician / CMM Programmer position at Witco?
Witco is looking for a talented and experienced addition to our quality team! The ideal candidate will have experience in a Quality Control environment working with machined components in all phases of inspection, and will have CMM experience. This position will be working on the floor and in the quality lab under the direction of the Quality Manager. Responsibilities:
- Calibrate measuring equipment
- First piece and in process inspections
- Receiving inspections
- Final inspections
- Supplier Certification Review
- Floor audits
- Document non-conforming material
- Create gage sheets
- Tag non-conforming material
- Create inspection reports
Required experience:
- MUST be able to perform calibrations using all standard gaging to check tight tolerances.
- CMM programming and operation experience, ideally using Zeiss Calypso software or equivalent.
- A comprehensive understanding of AS9100 and/or ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

Located near Yale, Michigan, Witco Inc. is a precision CNC Turning, Milling, and Gear Cutting company that services various global industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Metal Mining, Oil and Gas, and Outdoor Sporting Goods. We are a short run facility with typical build sizes ranging from 10-pieces to 1000-pieces.
