Witco, Inc. has a great opportunity to join our team in our employment service program for Ontario.
We are currently hiring for a Full-Time Job Coach, Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
This position provides on-the-job coaching and support to people with disabilities working at their job site in the community. Serves as an instructor, mentor, and advocate for individuals on assigned caseload.
This position will allow you to inspire the lives of others while also working for a not-for-profit, mission driven company, with over 50 years of advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to work independently and maintain a high degree of integrity.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide work and employment training services training to people who are cognitively, behaviorally and/or physically disabled at their place of work.
- Provide or arrange transportation if needed.
- Monitor progress towards goals, collect data on all services provided, evaluate results, make recommendations.
- Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively.
- Teach job skills to the employee and guide in learning to complete job tasks.
- Assist the employee with soft skills such as social skills and communication in the workplace.
- Coach employee on fine-tuning work habits/skills to maintain employment.
- Help the employee stay motivated through difficult times.
- Encourage the development of self-esteem and independence.
- Complete documentation and maintain accurate records, prepare reports as required.
Hire qualifications include the following:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal history clearance with fingerprinting, employment references, and pre-hire drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and good driving record.
