Program Manager — Enterprise Security Initiatives

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a portfolio of high-impact enterprise security programs. This role is responsible for shaping strategy, overseeing execution, and ensuring alignment between cybersecurity initiatives and broader business priorities. You will manage multi-million-dollar programs spanning multiple years, with projects that integrate IT and business functions across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, excelling at navigating complexity, influencing stakeholders, and driving measurable outcomes in cybersecurity and enterprise transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Oversight: Define, plan, and manage multi-year security programs, ensuring projects are properly sequenced, integrated, and aligned with business needs. Adjust scope, timing, and budgets as priorities evolve.
  • Executive Engagement: Partner with senior leadership to communicate program direction, strategy, and progress. Provide clear updates on risks, budget, and resource implications.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Anticipate and quantify risks to scope, schedule, and cost. Drive prioritization and resolution while escalating critical issues when necessary.
  • Status & Reporting: Deliver timely and transparent reporting on program performance, compliance, and alignment with PMO standards and technical requirements.
  • Prioritization & Decision Frameworks: Facilitate frameworks that balance strategic value, ROI, and resource constraints to optimize delivery across the portfolio.
  • Cybersecurity Alignment: Ensure security programs support enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and long-term goals such as grid reliability, physical protection, and digital transformation.
  • Audit & Compliance: Prepare for audits, maintain compliance reporting, and support cybersecurity governance initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives, lessons learned, and process refinements to improve program delivery and efficiency.
  • Tools & Infrastructure: Leverage platforms such as ServiceNow PPM, JIRA, and Confluence to enhance visibility, tracking, and collaboration across program teams.
  • Roadmaps & KPIs: Develop multi-year roadmaps and create dashboards to track program health, resource utilization, and organizational risk posture.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align delivery of security initiatives with other enterprise programs.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of program or project management experience, including at least 3–5 years in leadership roles managing enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Track record of successfully managing $5M–$10M programs with multiple internal and external stakeholders and cost components.
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SDLC) and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coach, mentor, and inspire diverse teams across IT and business functions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence executive sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • Expertise in cost management, resource planning, scenario modeling, and KPI tracking.
  • Proficiency in portfolio and reporting tools such as ServiceNow PPM, JIRA, Power BI, and MS Project.
  • Strong business process analysis and mapping experience, with a background in change management to support organizational transitions.
  • Experience managing distributed teams and coordinating cross-functional resources at scale.
  • Familiarity with the energy sector or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, operate independently, and drive initiatives from the ground up.

This role offers the opportunity to lead mission-critical cybersecurity and enterprise security programs that directly impact business resilience and digital transformation. If you are a strategic thinker, skilled collaborator, and proven leader ready to take ownership of complex initiatives, we encourage you to apply.
