The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, excelling at navigating complexity, influencing stakeholders, and driving measurable outcomes in cybersecurity and enterprise transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy & Oversight: Define, plan, and manage multi-year security programs, ensuring projects are properly sequenced, integrated, and aligned with business needs. Adjust scope, timing, and budgets as priorities evolve.
- Executive Engagement: Partner with senior leadership to communicate program direction, strategy, and progress. Provide clear updates on risks, budget, and resource implications.
- Risk & Issue Management: Anticipate and quantify risks to scope, schedule, and cost. Drive prioritization and resolution while escalating critical issues when necessary.
- Status & Reporting: Deliver timely and transparent reporting on program performance, compliance, and alignment with PMO standards and technical requirements.
- Prioritization & Decision Frameworks: Facilitate frameworks that balance strategic value, ROI, and resource constraints to optimize delivery across the portfolio.
- Cybersecurity Alignment: Ensure security programs support enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and long-term goals such as grid reliability, physical protection, and digital transformation.
- Audit & Compliance: Prepare for audits, maintain compliance reporting, and support cybersecurity governance initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives, lessons learned, and process refinements to improve program delivery and efficiency.
- Tools & Infrastructure: Leverage platforms such as ServiceNow PPM, JIRA, and Confluence to enhance visibility, tracking, and collaboration across program teams.
- Roadmaps & KPIs: Develop multi-year roadmaps and create dashboards to track program health, resource utilization, and organizational risk posture.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align delivery of security initiatives with other enterprise programs.
- 8 years of program or project management experience, including at least 3–5 years in leadership roles managing enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Track record of successfully managing $5M–$10M programs with multiple internal and external stakeholders and cost components.
- Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SDLC) and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coach, mentor, and inspire diverse teams across IT and business functions.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence executive sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Expertise in cost management, resource planning, scenario modeling, and KPI tracking.
- Proficiency in portfolio and reporting tools such as ServiceNow PPM, JIRA, Power BI, and MS Project.
- Strong business process analysis and mapping experience, with a background in change management to support organizational transitions.
- Experience managing distributed teams and coordinating cross-functional resources at scale.
- Familiarity with the energy sector or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, operate independently, and drive initiatives from the ground up.
