Senior Network Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Engineer to support the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade wireless infrastructure. This role will be responsible for assessing current environments, planning network refresh initiatives, and ensuring the successful implementation of modern, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise with Cisco networking, wireless design tools, and enterprise network operations, along with strong analytical and communication skills to drive projects from discovery through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Assessment: Conduct detailed site-by-site analysis of existing wireless infrastructure, comparing current environments against documented designs to identify gaps and define project scope.
• Design & Planning: Review Cisco switch configurations for scalability, validate floorplans, and prepare documentation to support wireless design initiatives.
• Implementation Oversight: Partner with installation and configuration teams to ensure deployments align with design standards, monitoring progress against project milestones and schedules.
• Deployment Support: Provide technical expertise during rollouts, offering troubleshooting, configuration validation, and issue resolution.
• Post-Implementation Validation: Verify operability of all access points, ensure outdated hardware is decommissioned, and confirm new systems match design specifications.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records including inventories, floorplans, schedules, and operational support documents. Track progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with IT, facilities, and vendor teams to align project activities, resolve risks, and ensure seamless execution of network refresh initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in wireless networking, ideally in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Cisco networking hardware and wireless technologies.
• Hands-on experience with wireless site survey and design tools such as Ekahau.
• Proficiency in creating network documentation and diagrams.
• Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for performance and reliability.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Background in F5 upgrades, migrations, or enterprise-level implementations with high availability and load balancing requirements.
• Experience integrating cloud environments such as AWS or Azure with F5 services.
• Prior exposure to large-scale enterprise networking projects with multiple stakeholders and high operational impact.
