Responsibilities

Cost Control

• Assists in identifying cost-saving initiatives, as directed.

• Initiates and implements cost-saving initiatives, as directed.

Operations

• Manages and coordinates lab activities in accordance with all applicable Quality Management Systems to meet or exceed customer expectations.

• Evaluates labor requirements based on inbound delivery volumes and testing schedules and provides staffing recommendations to management.

• Reassigns resources to processes requiring additional support to meet service-level agreements and control labor costs.

• Maintains production goals and performance metrics.

• Ensures company policies and guidelines are defined, documented, and followed.

• Oversees audit activities to ensure compliance with customer, industry, internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Encourages an environment of positive motivation and employee development.

• Reviews and acts on productivity data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Verifies that required reporting is completed and that processes for tracking test lots are followed.

• Initiates and completes corrective and preventive action reports for out-of-process issues.

• Promotes safety policies, including housekeeping requirements.

• Performs other operational duties as assigned by leadership.

Essential Functions

• Ability to repetitively manually move up to 35 pounds (including, but not limited to pushing, pulling, and lifting below, at, or above waist level and overhead)

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe footwear.

Education

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree, or five years of relevant work experience at a similar level in lieu of a degree.

• A degree in a related field such as engineering, business, quality, operations, or technology is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

Preferred

• Five years of relevant work experience at a similar level.

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

Other

Preferred

• Lean manufacturing experience.

• Experience with ISO standards or other formal quality systems.

• Hands-on experience with mobile devices from multiple manufacturers in a testing environment.

• Ability to facilitate testing using RF equipment.

• Experience with statistical process control.

Computer Skills

Required

• Keyboard proficiency.

• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, email, internet-based tools, and other job-related computer applications.

• Numerical-keypad and 10-key calculator proficiency.

• Ability to read and work with fine print, small text, and detailed documentation as part of daily responsibilities

Office Equipment

Required

• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, scanners, multiline phone systems, and conferencing equipment.

This position leads the Testing Lab team, oversees daily operations, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role is responsible for adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS), controlled-document protocols, and audit-readiness requirements. In addition to guiding team members, the position ensures the effective execution of testing processes and supports audit compliance, documentation accuracy, and continuous-improvement initiatives
