The Human Resources Director is responsible for all facets of Human Resources for a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that is opening in a few months! With support from Shared Services, the Human Resources Director will be responsible for planning and executing the Human Resources and compliance activities for the Community in accordance with the following principle duties:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for all facets of Human Resources for a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that is opening in a few months! With support from Shared Services, the Human Resources Director will be responsible for planning and executing the Human Resources and compliance activities for the Community in accordance with the following principle duties:
- Manages all recruitment activities for the Community including the sourcing, screening and ongoing communication with candidates through the entire Recruitment process.
- Establishing standards and ensuring complete digital personnel files for all employees in compliance with all legal requirements.
- Champion of the STAR Values and related programs across the Community including employee recognition and suggestion programs, talent development, performance development, employee communications and events.
- Ensures that all job descriptions are complete and ensures the integrity of the Community wage and salary system.
- Co-chair of Safety Committee and collaborates with Safety department related to workers compensation program.
- Serves as resource for supervisory staff, explaining and interpreting personnel procedures and the implications of applicable laws and regulations, assisting, as needed, in the completion of necessary documentation of personnel matters by supervisory staff relating to employee coaching and development and disciplinary actions.
- Serves as representative for employees and acts in a conciliatory role concerning employee grievances, conferring with and counseling employees regarding personnel policies and procedures, benefits, employee relations, and work related, personal and professional concerns.
- Conducts training workshops for all Community employees relating to HR topics, as required including New Hire Orientation for all new employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years Human Resources management experience, preferably in a related industry. Prior supervisory experience required.
- Can do, hands on mindset with focus on customer service and comfortable working in an extremely fast paced environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of California and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
