Position Title: Hearth & Hop’s Restaurant Server
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Front of House Supervisor, or Bar/Restaurant Manager
Status: Full-time Seasonal or Part-time Seasonal, Hourly Plus Tips (Non-Exempt)
Working Hours: Varied hours/shifts, fluctuates with time of season, weekends and holidays typical
Wage Range: $15.00 per hour – includes potential to earn tips and gratuities

Position Summary: Interact with guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the resort. Attends to guests needs making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Requires some basic cooking knowledge.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description. Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 1 – FB01
• Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
• Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Handle table bookings, direct guests to tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform guests about food preparation details, communicate specific guest needs to the cooks.
• Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill guest needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses.
• Properly open and pour wine at tables.
• Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return change.
• Basic cleaning tasks in coordination with co-workers.
• Understand and communicate resort services and products to guests.
• Some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent, unless company sees capability without minimum education requirement
• Previous food serving experience recommended
Language Skills:
• Basic English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Crowd Management Certificate desirable
• TIPS Certification
