Position Overview:
The Fleet and Inventory Associate (FIA) is responsible for assisting in maintaining the inventory needs based on the direction of the Fleet and Warehouse Analyst (FWA). If the FWA is not available, the direction will come from the Fleet Manager (FM). The FIA will be responsible for assisting in operations related to, but not limited to, the Fleet and the Fleet Inventory. Some key duties include but are not limited to; truck builds, learning parts to stock, truck inventories (Levels 1-3), general inspections, working with management to assign inventory level status, comprehensive records of preformed inventories, and learning and understanding software to maintain the fleet and inventory. The FIA will assist in coordinating truck and equipment availability to ensure technicians have safe transportation and equipment, to achieve peak efficiency in all vehicle-related issues for the fleet and truck inventory. FIA will have the opportunity to partner with other departments on specific tasks with the approval from the FWA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use the multilevel method of the truck inventory process that achieves accurate counts and minimal downtime for the service trucks
Deliver accurate stocking and building new trucks to specs (adding trucks to SW, building templates, assigning inventory locations, developing truck books/templates, setting min/max levels, etc.)
Participate in one-on-one meetings to discuss critical inventory processes, updates, and needs
Instrumental in maintaining all documentation and reports for inventory management
Conduct a complete physical inventory or tool count upon any employee separation or truck replacement
Responsible for tracking and ordering all truck fluids and sending updates to the FM
Processing inventory, transfers, adjustments POs, or other data entry for inventory control
Assist in updating record-keeping for processed departmental truck inventories and inspections
Become proficient in parts identification to inventory/stock trucks
Achieve proficiency in software and other tools, as it relates to truck inventory processes
Achieve a high degree of accuracy and develop reporting that is used to book inventory adjustments monthly
Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for inventory and truck build processes
Assist in fleet inspections to ensure that the vehicle is in good operating condition
Measures of Success:
Achieve 100% of scheduled vehicle inventory inspections and counts on time
Help minimize inventory negatives through routine inspections and software analyzation
Help develop processes and procedures to ensure maximum daily Inventory accuracy
Develop and maintain a system to accurately and efficiently inventory all service vehicles, at a minimum annually
Reduce truck downtime through efficient truck inventories and minimize parts delivery to job sites by achieving accurate truck inventory
Develop a solid and collaborative working relationship with all technicians and staff
