Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled, mid-level Equipment Maintenance Technician to oversee the preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of our industrial infrastructure and production machinery. This hands-on role spans standard industrial spaces, cleanroom environments, and specialized utility yards. You will ensure the uptime and reliability of critical environmental, data center, and manufacturing equipment. This role reports directly to the Facilities Infrastructure Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform routine, scheduled maintenance across critical infrastructure to prevent downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Data Center & Utility Cooling: Service high-performance cooling systems, including cleaning micro-filtration systems, secondary filtration loops, Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), cooling loops, and chilled water (CW) lines.
- Industrial HVAC & Air Systems: Maintain industrial HVAC/chiller systems and ensure the optimal performance of compressed air infrastructure (such as keeping compressed air generator dryer radiators clean).
- Production Line Support: Assist with the basic troubleshooting and mechanical upkeep of production/manufacturing machinery, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, reflow ovens, and Pick-and-Place (P&P) systems.
- Energy Infrastructure Inspections: Conduct periodic physical inspections of on-site clean energy fuel cell generators to check for fluid or gas leaks, structural damages, or operational anomalies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed logs of all completed PM tasks, system readouts, and parts replaced.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Ability to work comfortably in both standard industrial plant floors and strict cleanroom environments.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working safely within confined spaces or utility yards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3 years of experience in industrial facility maintenance, data center infrastructure, or manufacturing equipment servicing is highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with industrial cooling and compressed air systems.
- Certifications: No specialized certifications are strictly required, but relevant trade school certificates or hands-on equipment training are a significant plus.
