Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.

We are looking for a Battery Pack Design Intern to join our team for summer 2026. The goal of an Battery Pack Design Intern at Wisk is to support the development of parts and sub-systems of the battery packs. You will be part of the Energy Storage and Power Systems team that develops the battery packs and power distribution/conversion systems.

Responsibilities

• As part of the ESPS organization, and deployed in an mechanical design team you will act as a Battery Pack Design Intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
• You will take part in the concept selection and component & sub-system development activities.
• You will help support problem solving activities to meet the technical requirements of the product and deliver within timelines.
• You will take part in the design, prototyping and testing processes
  
  

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028
• Experience with CAD required
• Experience with high voltage batteries and vehicles is a plus
• Need to be hands-on, pro-active and curious

Pay Rate for this internship opportunity is up to $30 per hour
