Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, inventory management, and general facility maintenance. This role ensures that all warehouse activities are performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will display a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and service.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to quality, safety, and the company’s core values.
- Maintain reliable attendance and complete all assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring correct products and quantities.
- Perform quality checks to verify order accuracy and condition of items prior to shipment.
- Pack items securely to ensure delivery in like-new and usable condition.
- Conduct inventory and cycle counts, identify unsalable or expired items, and report discrepancies.
- Assist in the receiving and stocking of incoming shipments:
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify items against packing slips and enter receipts into the warehouse system.
- Properly label and place items in correct bin locations.
- Respond to internal or external customer requests professionally and promptly.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including facility exterior.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as trained and authorized.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to perform basic math and use basic computer systems.
- Must be safety-conscious and capable of following detailed instructions.
- Must be willing and available to work overtime as required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate industrial equipment.
- Neat appearance and professional conduct.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or similar shipping software.
