What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Chip Oil Attendant for Wise Foods position at Wise Snacks?
3rd SHIFT: 12AM MIDNIGHT - 8AM w/MANDATORY OVERTIME
Location(s): CHIP PLANT
As an Oil Attendant, you will maintain oil flows to and from fryers, as well as ensuring the correct oil from the appropriate tanks is pumped to and from fryers.
Areas of Responsibilities:
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check fryers for the optimum oil level
- Check all new oil tanks for levels, types, and availability
- Check all used oil tanks for levels, FFA (Free Fatty Acids), and availability
- Check all valves to ensure proper positioning for desired flow
- Periodically check FFA readings
- Control used oil consumption in fryers to deplete used inventory without sacrificing quality
- Pump oil fryers and replace with new when FFA are too high
- Relieve department personnel for breaks and lunches
- Perform minor maintenance on all systems
- Keep all areas neat, clean, orderly, and safe
- Complete and submit all required paperwork and checklists
- Keep open lines of communication between fellow employees, Maintenance, Production, QA, and Supervisors
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep track of and report all maintenance required to be performed after weekly shutdown
- Perform weekly and weekend cleaning on fryers and surrounding areas
- Work with cleaning chemicals
- Always utilize all required PPE
- Perform all other duties of a Process Operator, when necessary
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform any added duties as assigned by supervision
- Attend required training sessions
- Work overtime as required
- Follow GHP (Good Housekeeping Practices), as well as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Work towards attaining and maintaining GFSI & BRC certifications
Education and Experience:
Required:
- GENERAL EDUCATION
- ABILITY TO FOLLOW VERBAL AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS AND COMMUNICATION
Preferred:
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
- ADVANCED SCHOOLING
