Location: Grapevine, TX (Onsite)

JD: Frictionless Inventory Associate — Sam’s Club (Grapevine, TX)

In Club associate who will Drive Sam’s Club’s frictionless technology by:

(1) validating the daily item-location,

(2) confirming the overnight inventory change by 8:00 AM,

(3) scanning UPCs for changed/exception items, and

(4) creating high-quality UPC image templates per SOP

All while minimizing Member disruption and upholding safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Daily Readiness (6:45–7:30 AM): Verify overnight inventory change completion; check camera/app health, job queues, and exception dashboards; log results and escalate gaps.
• UPC Verification: Scan and validate items on the sales floor (changed, missing, new items) throughout the morning/day; confirm bin/section placement and attach notes/photos as required.
• Template Capture: Set up at marked capture zone; follow rotation SOP (all items barcode); ensure glare control, distance, and naming/metadata; submit templates for Operations follow up.
• Exception Handling: Triage missing images, misaligned bins, and low-confidence cart detections; follow playbooks; close the loop with stakeholders.
• Member & Safety First: Coordinate access to shelves with minimal aisle impact; follow PPE, lifting, forklift safety, and equipment procedures; report/correct unsafe conditions.
• Communication & Tracking: Update task trackers; communicate status and blockers to Leads/Merch/Operations/CV team; keep tidy work area.

Qualifications

Minimum

• 18 ; reliable early-morning availability.
• Comfortable with handheld scanners/smartphones and basic web dashboards on laptops.
• Detail-oriented; can lift up to 25 lbs; stand/walk extended periods.

Preferred

• Retail inventory/stocking or front-end experience.
• Familiarity with UPCs/barcodes, planograms, and basic photo capture (lighting/framing).

Success Measures (KPIs)

• 7:00 AM readiness check documented daily; exceptions resolved within SLA.
• Scan-verification accuracy and turnaround time.
• UPC template acceptance rate (quality and completeness).
• Safety adherence and minimal Member disruption.

Tools & Environment

• Handheld scanners, mobile capture app, web dashboards.
• Work near active aisles and under fixed cameras.
