Hiring: Embedded Audio Engineer
We’re looking for a skilled Embedded Audio Engineer to join a cutting-edge engineering team working on advanced audio systems and firmware development. If you have a passion for embedded systems, audio DSP, and low-level optimization, this opportunity is for you!
Location: Redmond, WA (On-site)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Summary
Join a high-impact team focused on developing next-gen embedded audio solutions. This role involves working across firmware, DSP integration, and hardware bring-up, requiring strong expertise in real-time systems and audio technologies.
Must-Have Skills
- 4 years of experience in C/C embedded systems development
- Strong experience with RTOS or bare-metal firmware
- Hands-on experience in multi-core / multithreaded (distributed compute) systems
- Solid understanding of audio signal processing concepts
- Experience with hardware interfaces: I2S, PDM, I2C, SPI, UART
- Expertise in debugging using lab equipment & software tools
- Experience with audio DSPs (HiFi / Qualcomm Hexagon)
- Knowledge of hardware bring-up, debugging, and low-level firmware
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize embedded audio firmware for performance and efficiency
- Integrate and debug audio DSP solutions (HiFi/Hexagon)
- Work on hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on audio system architecture
- Ensure low-power design and performance optimization
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies
