Hiring: Cloud DevOps Engineer (GCP) | Buffalo, NY | Hybrid
We’re looking for a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong GCP, Kubernetes, and automation expertise to join a fast-paced cloud engineering team focused on scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Location: Buffalo, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Work Authorization: USC & GC Candidates Only
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
• Design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Provision and support core GCP services including Compute Engine VMs, GKE clusters, Dataproc, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GKE, Helm, and containerized application deployments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and related DevOps tools
• Experience with Python scripting and GCP services such as Composer/Airflow, Data Fusion, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and GCE
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Stackdriver), Prometheus, and Grafana
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers
• Experience implementing IAM, encryption, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Strong troubleshooting, RCA, and production support experience
• Proficiency with Git and branching strategies in collaborative development environments
What We’re Looking For:
A motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer who can drive cloud automation, improve infrastructure reliability, and collaborate with development teams to accelerate delivery and operational excellence across enterprise cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in IT development or engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• GCP Certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect are a plus
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting experience
