Enjoy visiting the farmers’ markets and eating healthy foods? We have a great opportunity for you! We’re looking for a representative to manage our booth at the farmers market.
We're seeking a sales representative to work our booth at the Palo Alto California Ave. Farmers' Market on Sundays from 8am - 2pm (the market is open 9am - 1pm). It's a great weekend job to earn extra income!
Customer service skills are a must! Our priority is to offer the best experience for our customers and ensure they are getting the right products for their needs.
Sales experience is very helpful as pay is based on commission. A great opportunity to make a nice weekend income! Must be efficient at performing simple math calculations for quick register transactions.
We offer health foods including fermented sauerkraut, salsa, hot sauce, nut butters, tinctures and soups. Product knowledge is not necessary as you will receive adequate training however interest in health foods is extremely helpful.
The job is fairly labor intensive. Heavy lifting is required for setup and tear down. You’ll be on your feet managing the booth and helping customers throughout the market. There is not much downtime; you’ll get lots of exercise! Also, markets are rain-or-shine so you must be able to work in inclement weather and adapt as necessary.
We rely on our employees to show up on the dates they’re scheduled for. Calling in last minute is extremely hard on our customers and us as a company. Taking days off is no problem we just ask for a minimum of 1 week notice. Of course we understand that life emergencies happen on occasion.
