Position Summary
Seeking a senior Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to support Ribbon Federal Edge deployments, SIP interconnection engineering, and E-911 routing initiatives associated with Army Voice Modernization. The role focuses on mission-critical emergency communications integration across Federal and Army telecom systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways
- Provide SIP interconnection engineering and policy routing support
- Troubleshoot E-911 call flow and routing issues
- Support deployment readiness assessments and validation activities
- Coordinate connectivity between Federal Edge, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP systems
- Assist in issue resolution impacting gateway deployment and performance
- Support technical coordination for emergency communications routing
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support telecom engineering issue tracking and escalation
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of telecommunications engineering experience
- 5 years of VoIP / SIP engineering experience
- Experience with Ribbon Communications, Sonus, or Genband platforms
- Experience with Session Border Controllers (SBC)
- Experience with SIP signaling and interconnects
- Experience with E-911 or PSAP integration
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- DISA VISP familiarity
- Army VMOD experience
- PSAP interconnection experience
- Cisco certifications (CCNP / CCIE)
- NG911 Public Safety Communications background
