What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk & Community Outreach Coordinator position at Wise Body Solutions?
Wise Body Solutions is a clinical movement studio in downtown Plymouth — Reformer Pilates, yoga, mobility work, Rolfing, massage, and physical therapy, built around a proprietary movement assessment. We're early, we're growing fast, and we need someone who can jump in and hold two very different kinds of work at the same time.
This role is two jobs in one. Most people are good at one half. We need someone good at both.
Half one: you're the face of the studio out in the community. Chamber of Commerce events, early-morning networking meetings, evening mixers, happy hours, Art in the Park, Fall Fest, the 4th of July — wherever Plymouth shows up, you're representing us. The hours aren't always predictable. Some weeks it's one event, some weeks it's three, and they don't always sit at convenient times.
Half two: you're the steady follow-through behind the scenes. Calling and texting leads who've shown interest, following up after assessments, getting people scheduled, keeping the front-desk and client communication moving. This part is quieter, more repetitive, and just as important — leads don't convert themselves.
What you get
Beyond the hourly pay, you're working inside the studio — so you get to use it.
- Free access to any group class (Reformer, mat, yoga, mobility) when there's an open seat and you're off the clock
- Employee rate on 1:1 services — massage, Rolfing, PT
- Real room to grow — this role touches event presence, client communication, and the early shape of how we market and scale. You'll have the opportunity to learn and develop in the areas where you're building skill, not just execute a fixed job description.
This is a strong fit if you:
- Genuinely enjoy talking to strangers and can hold a room at a mixer without it draining you
- Are equally comfortable sitting down and making 15 follow-up calls in a row without losing energy or attention to detail
- Can learn a business's voice and message well enough to repeat it accurately, without making it sound scripted
- Don't need a fixed weekly schedule — you can flex around early mornings, evenings, and the occasional weekend event
- Follow through on what you say you'll do, without needing reminders
- Are looking for a role that could grow into full-time as the studio grows
Worth knowing before you apply:
- The schedule shifts week to week rather than staying fixed — some weeks lighter, some weeks heavier with events
- Both halves of the role matter deeply, so it helps to genuinely enjoy people and steady follow-up work, not just one
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
Benefits:
- Employee discount
- Flexible schedule
- Professional development assistance
Application Question(s):
- This role requires comfort with both in-person community events and phone-based follow-up work. To confirm you've read this far, please type the word 'PLYMOUTH' in your answer below, then tell us which of those two — events or calls — you naturally lean toward.
- This role requires availability for events that occur on evenings and early mornings, with inconsistent weekly hours. Are you able to commit to that?"
