About WISE Academy

WISE Academy is a private, nonprofit Islamic K–12 school dedicated to academic excellence, strong character, and creative expression. We are expanding our enrichment programs and seeking a passionate Theater Instructor to lead our students in developing confidence, teamwork, and stage performance skills through drama and the performing arts.

Responsibilities

• Teach theater or drama sessions to elementary and/or secondary students.
• Direct school plays and performances (script selection, auditions, rehearsals, and production).
• Foster creativity, collaboration, and respect in a supportive environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and administration to integrate performing arts into school events.
• Manage rehearsal schedules and coordinate logistics for performances.

Qualifications

• Background in theater, drama, performing arts, or education.
• Prior experience teaching or leading youth programs is required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with students.
• Must complete required background check and fingerprinting before starting.

Position Details

• Schedule: Part-time, typically 2–6 hours per week; additional hours during production weeks.
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or project-based stipend (based on experience and scope).

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
