- Establish model fidelity standards and acceptance criteria
2. E/E Architecture Ownership
- Develop and model a complete vehicle electrical/electronic (E/E) architecture
- Cover:
- Power distribution systems (12V / 48V / High Voltage)
- ECU domains and communication structure
- Grounding strategies and protection mechanisms
3. Model Integration
- Integrate component-level models (e.g., SPICE, FMU) into system models
- Conduct model validation and acceptance reviews
4. System-Level Modeling
- Build and maintain integrated electrical network models for the full vehicle
- Support multiple configurations including trims, regions, and propulsion types
5. Co-Simulation
- Enable multi-domain simulation across:
- Electrical
- Controls
- Thermal systems
- Manage FMU-based co-simulation environments
6. Use Case Simulation
- Simulate key vehicle scenarios, including:
- Startup and shutdown behavior
- Cold crank and load dump conditions
- Charging and regenerative braking events
7. Validation & Correlation
- Perform system-level verification activities
- Correlate simulation results with test bench and vehicle data
8. Functional Safety
- Analyze fault propagation across the electrical network
- Support system-level validation aligned with ISO 26262 standards
9. Performance Optimization
- Ensure simulation scalability and real-time execution capability
- Define and optimize solver strategies
10. Technical Leadership
- Drive system-level technical decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, testing, and supplier teams
11. Delivery & Handoff
- Deliver complete simulation environments to stakeholders
- Provide documentation, user guidelines, and training
Required Tools & Technologies
- Ansys Twin Builder
- MATLAB Simulink
