Summary:
The Liquid Intake Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and sanitary receiving, testing, unloading, and transfer of raw milk and other liquid dairy products into the and out of the facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and company policies to maintain product quality and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- * Receive and unload raw milk, cream, condensed milk, and other liquid products from
- tankers in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
- * Load and ship cream, WPC, and other liquid products from silos to tankers in accordance with regulatory and company
- procedures.
- * Perform organoleptic, temperature, and antibiotic screening tests (e.g., Charm test) on
- incoming loads.
- * Document load information, lab results, and intake records accurately and promptly.
- * Connect hoses, pumps, and valves to transfer product into storage tanks.
- * CIP (Clean-in-Place) equipment, tanks, and lines used in liquid intake.
- * Monitor and maintain fluid levels in storage tanks, ensuring accurate inventory control.
- * Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, SQF, and safety procedures.
- * Communicate with drivers, quality assurance, and production personnel regarding load
- status and quality.
- * Identify and report non-conforming product or equipment issues immediately.
- * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- * Operate valves, pumps, and controls associated with intake operations.
- * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification/Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year experience in dairy, food manufacturing, or liquid handling preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must be able to work in cold, warm, wet environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and tolerate 30ft heights.
- Basic math and computer skills required (for intake logs and data entry).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
